Aline Nadim Batch is a Ph.D. candidate in Plant Taxonomy and Ecology at the University of Aleppo, where she also serves as a lecturer in the Department of Plant Biology. She holds an M.Sc. in Plant Taxonomy and Ecology and a B.Sc. in Natural Sciences (Biology), reflecting a strong academic foundation in biodiversity and ecological sciences. Her research focuses on documenting and classifying the flora of Syria, integrating traditional taxonomic methods with modern ecological approaches to advance knowledge of plant diversity. Aline has published multiple peer-reviewed papers, including a contribution to a Q1 Scopus-indexed journal, underscoring the impact of her work on the scientific community. She actively participates in ecological fieldwork and leads the innovative Digital Flora of Syria project, which digitally records and shares plant species data to support conservation and botanical education. Her consultancy projects include biodiversity inventories, habitat assessments, and contributions to sustainable land management initiatives in collaboration with environmental organizations. Aline’s dedication has earned her recognition through citations of her research, collaborations with regional academic institutions, and memberships in professional scientific societies. In addition to her research achievements, she serves as a moderator and editor for the Digital Flora of Syria, ensuring the accuracy and quality of data shared with researchers and conservationists.
